About ScuPlan
Free scuba diving tools for recreational and technical divers
What is ScuPlan?
ScuPlan is a free, browser-based dive planning platform built for scuba divers of all levels. It provides calculators, checklists, and reference tools to help plan safer, more informed dives — no account or subscription required.
What's included
How the calculators work
The calculators are based on published diving standards and reference data:
- No-decompression limits (NDL) — PADI Recreational Dive Planner (RDP) and NAUI dive table values for air diving
- Gas physiology — Dalton's Law, Henry's Law, and Boyle's Law as applied in recreational and technical diving training curricula
- Nitrox and MOD — Oxygen toxicity limits per PADI, SSI, and TDI standards (PO₂ max 1.4 bar working, 1.6 bar contingency)
- Decompression — Bühlmann ZHL-16 compartment model (simplified reference only; not a substitute for a certified dive computer)
- Safety limits — Recreational depth limit 40 m / 130 ft per PADI and SSI Open Water standards
How content is prepared
AI-assisted, editorially reviewed. Blog articles are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed for factual accuracy before publication. Dive physics values and certification standards are cross-checked against PADI, SSI, NAUI, and TDI reference materials.
ScuPlan tools are for planning reference only and do not replace proper scuba training, a certified dive computer, or qualified dive leadership. Always dive within your certification limits.
